The El Toro trail is just up the road from the rainforest inn.

Paths through the El Yunque rain forest in Puerto Rico have been made by the C.C.C. in the 1930's. The upper third of the El Toro trail is in the cloud forest with stunted trees like bonsais on either side.

This hike is five to six hours to the peak and back. It can be very muddy as this is a very protected part of the rainforest where trail maintenance is difficult.
